LEICA M (RED) SELLS FOR $1,805,000 AT SOTHEBY'S



The Sotheby’s (RED) auction has ended.  The custom made Leica M, designed by Apple’s Jony Ive and Marc Newson sold for $1,805,000 at the charity auction organized by Bono od U2 fame.  The opening bid had been set at $500.000 and it was thought that the selling price might reach $750,000.  Sotheby’s (RED) auction raised a total of $26.2 million to fight aids in Africa.
