However, I should have mentioned to be gingerly with the film advance (or shoot digital ;-) ). another thing I forgot to mention is to be careful with cameras that do have motorized film rewind. At low temperatures static can be a problem, especially when the film is rewound too quickly. The felt strip of the light trap at the opening of the film cartridge can lead to enough build-up of static that it might discharge. The subsequent sparks will leave their mark on the film.LEICA Barnack Berek Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09055435560407011075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-73535965937747052162014-10-17T14:55:22.578-05:002014-10-17T14:55:22.578-05:00I remember, during the first winter I was in Minne...I remember, during the first winter I was in Minnesota, going out to make night shots. Alas! when I returned home and opened the camera, I found that my film had shattered at some point...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-11110980789340895732014-10-16T13:44:35.760-05:002014-10-16T13:44:35.760-05:00Not really. Common freezer temperatures are outright balmy compared to some of the temperatures we experience during a typical Minnesota winter.LEICA Barnack Berek Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09055435560407011075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-31309697238323821682014-10-16T13:42:52.915-05:002014-10-16T13:42:52.915-05:00Putting a Leica into a freezer overnight is crazy....Putting a Leica into a freezer overnight is crazy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
