However, any camera is only as good as the sum of its parts. With the Leica M 240 system that does include the lens detection feature. Combined with the design of the sensor, it eliminates vignetting to an absolute minimum. Other cameras and sensors will not perform anywhere near as well with the same lenses. As far as third party lenses go, you can't blame the camera for the short comings of those lenses.LEICA Barnack Berek Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09055435560407011075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-24075243233609302202015-10-30T04:48:59.710-05:002015-10-30T04:48:59.710-05:00Nice article about sensor tech. But in the paragraf about vignetting and colour shift it isn't entirely true that the sensor in the M240 is eliminating that. If you turn off lens detection, even the Elmarit 28 will show colour shift and to some degree vignetting. And if you use third-party lenses you'll need to correct the images in the post processing.blueuserhttp://www.l-camera-forum.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-39110315931388520462015-10-28T13:57:50.692-05:002015-10-28T13:57:50.692-05:00Of course it would be nice if that comment had bee...Of course it would be nice if that comment had been accompanied by some form of proof other than just an opinion.LEICA Barnack Berek Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09055435560407011075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-37692260391311396002015-10-28T13:56:43.796-05:002015-10-28T13:56:43.796-05:00Stefan Löser wrote:That counts only in the Leica-U...Stefan Löser wrote:That counts only in the Leica-Universe.
