I consider the rule of thirds probably the most useful of all the compositional rules since it covers so many aspects of a picture.LEICA Barnack Berek Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09055435560407011075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-9082444981457877752016-05-11T12:17:15.911-05:002016-05-11T12:17:15.911-05:00This post is a really good discussion of the rule ...This post is a really good discussion of the rule of thirds. However, I do recall some ugly debris in the water to the right of the picture. This is the reason why I placed the bird the way I did.<br />In this regard the viewfinder of the Leica M cameras has a definite advantage over DSLR cameras because it always shows items beyond what the lens is recording. That makes subject placement often substantially easier. It has happened many times that I discovered additional items that would look good if visible on the picture, items that in most cases would have been lost with DSLRs.LEICA Barnack Berek Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09055435560407011075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-78244584804219261932016-05-11T12:15:54.213-05:002016-05-11T12:15:54.213-05:00In the second picture from the top, wouldn't t...In the second picture from the top, wouldn't the bird have been better placed on the lower left intersection point? That way there would have been more space in front than in back of the bird.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-13127519064491834802016-05-11T12:15:09.208-05:002016-05-11T12:15:09.208-05:00Thank you for posting this.
