Ergonomically the D2 was an excellent camera and I thoroughly enjoyed using it until, like most of the early versions, its sensor died. Leica UK made a total hash of repairing it, trying to do so without replacing the sensor or even testing it properly (the shutter count only moved forward by 2). My dealer got me a new replacement but this was after 4 months of messing about. In the meantime I had bought a Sony R1 with its APS-C sensor and Zeiss 24-105 equivalent lens. Although not as good ergonomically and an ugly camera, it was technically the next generation from the Digilux 2. It served me well until I bought a Leica M8 DRF in 2006.Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01433286751314494632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-45347020575167061862017-07-05T15:32:23.361-05:002017-07-05T15:32:23.361-05:00Tom McMaster wrote:

Basically, mirrorless is simply referring to a viewfinder system that employs an electronic viewfinder instead of a conventional SLR type viewfinder, therefore, mirrorless. All other features are unrelated. That makes the Leica M one of the most sophisticated mirrorless cameras on the market.LEICA Barnack Berek Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09055435560407011075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-55880428093612690812017-07-05T13:49:19.227-05:002017-07-05T13:49:19.227-05:00But the Leica M does not offer autofocus.
