It could never quiote match the Agfapan APX 25, but it is a whole stop faster at ISO 50. When I wrote the article, I was not aware of the Rollei RPX 25 film. With it there is a ISO 25 film which, if I am not mistaken, is based on the Agfapna APX 25 and should render equal results. There is also the ADOX CMS 20 II film which is advertised as the sharpest, most fine grained and highest resolving film on the market. But it is a high contrast copy film which requires a special developer to render continuous tome images.LEICA Barnack Berek Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09055435560407011075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-21711073269558764032020-01-02T11:22:37.175-06:002020-01-02T11:22:37.175-06:00Since the Agfapan APX 25 is discontinues and no ot...Since the Agfapan APX 25 is discontinues and no other ISO 25 films are available, what do you recommend for fine grain, black and white films?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-36583574048537948012020-01-02T11:21:05.728-06:002020-01-02T11:21:05.728-06:00Unfortunately not. There was no appreciable increase in speed over ISO 800, and the shadow detail was very bad. ISO 800 is definitely the limit.LEICA Barnack Berek Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09055435560407011075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1320126156594375642.post-63304603546443587222020-01-02T11:20:39.815-06:002020-01-02T11:20:39.815-06:00The Ilford XP-2 film sounds very interesting.
