SOMETHING NEW AND WHITE FROM LEICA

I returned just last night from my trip to Germany, Austria, Italy, and, of course. Leica.  Besides finally getting a chance to tour the new facility at Leitz Park, one reason for the visit was to possibly shed some light on the new Leica products which will be introduced at “Das Wesentliche” on October 20.  An in-depth article will follow.  As usual, they are very tight-lipped about divulging any information, but apparently one thing is for certain.  I was told that we should look out for something white.  That was further indicated when I saw work being done on an obviously totally white top plate for a Leica M.  Sorry, no photo.  While I was able to photograph freely, even in areas that had “No Photo” signs, a few restrictions remained.

Over the next few days I will be reporting here on several topics that were part of my visit to Leica.  Please stay tuned.
