Dear friends of photography and the Leica brand,
As you know, for over 100 years we have been
concentrating on “Das Wesentliche (the essentials)! Concentration on that what is dear to all of
our hearts: Photography! The art of photography. The perfect picture.
Therefore: On the evening of January 18, 2017, visit
us at our “Fest der Fotografie” (festival of photography) at the Leitz
Park. Together with us welcome the
seventh member of the “Leica Hall of Fame award”:
Joel
Meyerowitz
It is our award for his lifelong work in
photography. By the way, in the morning
of January 19, 2017, the honoree will talk about his life and his work.
Experience with us a special evening at “The Festival
of Photography” with friends of Leica, photographers, artists, journalists, celebrities
and international guests – with all of the people which, just like you, are
friends of photography and the Leica.
And: Under the motto “Inspiration Sehen” ( see
inspiration) experience the newest milestone of Leica photography.

It is generally assumed
that the “newest milestone of Leica photography" is referring to the long
rumored Leica M10.

Does that mean that Leica is going back to thr old labeling which started with the M3? What are the new features of the M10?
ReplyDeleteAs usual, Leica is very tight lipped about the new camera. It hasn't been confirmed yet. But a new camera has been registered overseas as a Leica M10 and some pictures of the alleged camera have been published elsewhere. I don't want to get into stirring the rumor mill unnecessary because in most cases this would hardly go beyond speculation and wishful thinking. Let's just wait a few weeks longer and see what it is actually about.
