Dear Leica Family,
It is with the utmost
excitement and honor to introduce myself as President of Leica Camera North
America.
There are great shoes to
fill with the departure of my predecessor Roger Horn, who has so graciously
guided me throughout the past few months as we eased into this transition. His
boundless legacy and passion will undoubtedly be a part of the Leica footprint
forever.
Leica Camera is a brand
that I have very much admired for many years, for its trailblazing technology,
treasured community bond, commitment to the essentials and iconic history. With
30 years of experience in the luxury accessories sector at Montblanc North
America, Christian Dior Watches, Breguet, and Swatch Group, I hope to use my
past learnings to support Leica’s growth and evolution. I look forward to
continuing Leica’s unrivaled leadership in the world of optics and am committed
to the Leica team and all those who trust Leica to express their unique visual
stories.
As our respected Head of
Optical Design Peter Karbe states, “The M-System educates photographers. It’s
like trying to write with a fountain pen. Using the fountain pen is not easy at
the beginning. But once you’ve learned how to use it, you don’t want to write
any other way.” With an appreciation for tools that inspire and expand the
capabilities of expression, I look forward to fostering your visual story
through the next chapter of our collective Leica journey.
