THE NEW LEICA OUTLET STORE

A relatively unknown means to save on Leica equipment is the Leica Outlet Store.  It used to be tucked away in the back of their headquarters in Wetzlar, but now has moved to a spacious facility across the street to the recently finished Leitz Park III.

For sale are remaining stock, demo equipment and second-hand goods.  The assortment for sale is constantly changing and is targeted primarily to impulse buyers. Much of the equipment is sold at half price.

The new Leica Outlet Store has been open since the first of November and will be officially opened with a small celebration next week.

There are no longer any sales counters.  Instead there is a large table to create a greater closeness to the customers.

A huge 4K TV can be controlled from the table with tablets to evaluate photographs if needed.

The back area has a small corner to relax and read with a sofa brought from Solms.  In addition there is and an old workbench from the old Leitz factory in Wetzlar that has been converted into a presentation table.

It is unclear at this time what the opening hours will be.
