GRAND OPENING OF LEITZ PARK III





Leica Camera AG can point to a new milestone in their history: Two years after the groundbreaking ceremony the company celebrates the completion of the Leitz Park III in Wetzlar. Visitors are invited for Sunday, June 17, from 10 am to 6 pm, to visit the new buildings with the recently opened Ernst Leitz Hotel, the Leica building with museum, archive, photo studio, store and museum shop, the new building of CW Sonderoptic GmbH and an office facility.

Those interested can look forward to numerous high-profile exhibitions and a varied program around Leica photography and sports optics. A special highlight is the anniversary exhibition "Eyes on! 100 Years of Leica Photography", a successful exhibition that traveled all over the world. The focus of this exhibition, with impressive pictures by famous Leica photographers and numerous exhibits from 100 years of small-format photography, is the revolutionary change brought about by a technical innovation - the "Ur-Leica".
