This blog was created by its main editor, Heinz Richter. Heinz has been using Leica equipment ever since his father gave him a Leica III with 50mm f/2 Summar for his fifth birthday. Heinz grew up in the photography business of his father in Germany. Now retired, he used to own his own business, GMP Photography in Minneapolis. Besides running his business, Heinz taught several professional photography courses as director of photography at a local college. As a Leica enthusiast and collector, it was an easy step to create this blog. To offer something of interest for all that are interested in Leica, this blog will always try to reach a balance between contemporary and historical items of interest.
