BUS CRASHES AT LEITZ PARK

The new Leica facility at Leitz Park in Wetzlar witnessed the crash of a bus on Monday, January 5.  Instead of entering the roundabout in front of Leitz Park, the driver went straight for undetermined reasons.  By doing so, the bus tore down traffic signs and flattened a tall street light before coming to rest in a muddy field besides the roundabout.

There were no injuries, but the street to Leitz Park had to be closed for several hours to allow a crane to remove the bus from the scene of the accident.  The cost for removing the bust, its repair and the replacement of the street signs as well as the street light is estimated to run as much as 100 thousand Dollars.

  1. I think it is quite funny for the sign on the side of the bust saying "we watch out for you...with safety."
