At the recent IWA 2015 in
Nuremberg, Leica presented presenting a whole range of new products for hunters
and nature enthusiasts. The highlight of the show were a new member of the
Magnus family, the 1.8–12 × 50 power zoom riflescope for universal hunting
needs. In addition to the new Geovid HD-R (Types 402 and 403) and the three new
Ultravid HD-Plus 50 models, visitors to the Leica stand at IWA could also take
a closer look at the Extender 1.8× for spotting scopes, the digital adapter for
the Leica X (Type 113) and the C-170 tripod with matching VH1 and VH2 video
heads.
Geovid HD-R 42
The two new Leica Geovid HD-R
42 models (Types 402 and 403) feature a particularly easy-to-use ballistics
program. In addition to providing the target distance, it also displays an
automatically compensated value for shot angles. The two Leica Geovid HD-R 42
models (Types 402 and 403) with eight-fold and ten-fold magnification are
extremely light and compact and offer superior optical performance.
Ultravid HD-Plus 50
With the Leica Ultravid
HD-Plus 50, Leica has designed and constructed a new generation of Leica
Ultravid binoculars with considerably improved light transmission and resolving
power. The Leica Ultravid HD-Plus 50 models are available with eight-fold,
ten-fold and twelve-fold magnification and are identified by an engraved ‘HD’
in red on the strap lugs of the binoculars. The three new models are
particularly suitable for use in twilight
Magnus 1.8–12×50 Universal power zoom riflescope
The new Leica Magnus 1.8–12 ×
50 fills the gap between the models with 42 and 56 mm front lenses. Thanks to
the extreme zoom range and outstanding low-light performance, the new 50 mm
version of the Magnus is ideal for hunting in less favourable light and is
simultaneously compact and extremely robust. A wide range of illuminated reticles
is available to fulfil the needs of different hunters. The new riflescope is
naturally also available in versions for both ring and rail mounting.
Leica Extender 1.8x
With the Leica Extender 1.8×
for Leica angled view APO-Televid spotting scopes, the magnification of the
Leica eyepiece is increased to between 45 and 90-fold to allow the observation
of even the smallest objects at long distances.
Leica X (Type 113) adapter
This adapter allows a Leica X
camera (Type 113) to be mounted on the eyepiece of the Leica APO-Televid 82 and
APO-Televid 65 spotting scopes to create the equivalent of an 850 to 3,100 mm
telephoto zoom lens.
Leica C-170 tripod
The new Leica C-170 tripod
and matching Leica VH1 und VH2 video heads are the perfect companions for
outdoor activities and are ideal for use with spotting scopes, binoculars and
cameras. Constructed from high-quality magnesium and carbon fire, the Leica
C-170 tripod is both lightweight and dependable whilst offering unshakeable
maximum stability even in unfavorable conditions, in wind and on uneven ground.
