Today we got word about six new Leica
Summicron C cinema lenses with a focal length range of 18, 25, 35, 50, 75 and
100mm. These are in addition to the
Summilux C lenses. Additional Summicron
C lenses of 21, 29, 40 and 135mm are expected to be announced soon. In comparison the the Summilux C lenses, the
Summicron C lensess are reported to be 30 percent shorter and 20 percent
lighter. The price for the set of six
lenses is $97,500 or $16,250 for each lens.
