The HUAWEI Consumer Business Group (BG) and the Leica Camera AG today announced the start of a long-term strategic alliance. The aim of this ambitious technological partnership is the close cooperation in the field of Optical Engineering and the joint development of innovative solutions in order to achieve the best images possible in the smartphone segment of Photography and to raise it to the next level of quality.

HUAWEI is the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world and the first Chinese company that in 2015 sold more than 100 million mobile phones.  As the first Chinese manufacturer, HUAWEI managed in 2014 to make the leap to the prestigious list of Interbrand Best Global Brands for 2015.  The company climbed to place 88 with the world acclaimed presentation of the HUAWEI Watch and the HUAWEI P8. With the help of this technological partnership in 2016 HUAWEI wants to expand its success and merge the expertise of both companies to the benefit of their consumers.
