IT’S ALL ABOUT THE SONG!

Music Photo Contest

Hardly a day goes by when we cannot find some sort of photo contest asking for participants and contributions.  But every once in a while something stands out as being different by using an uncommon theme. 

Such is the case with LFI (Leica Fotografie International).  They just announced a new photography contest under the title of “IT’S ALL ABOUT THE SONG!” a Music Photo Contest.  They write:

 Dear LFI readers,

What do you feel when you listen to music? What images, what stories you come to mind? Have you ever imagined implementing them photographically? If so, enter the new competition in the LFI gallery! Impress us with a photo story on the basis of the below mentioned songs - attractive prizes await you!

For the new magazine “Vinyl Stories” by Edel AG, they are looking for music enthusiasts among photographers.  The challenge: Tell a story in seven pictures which was inspired by one of the following songs:

• Anohni — Drone Bomb Me
• Kendrick Lamar — These Walls
• Lady Gaga — Bad Romance
• Lana Del Rey — Black Paradise
• Madonna — Like a Prayer
• Pink Floyd — Wish you were here
• Sting — Fields of Gold

Submissions will be accepted until July 31, 1016

1st Prize

Publication of the winner’s series in "Vinyl Stories", the new magazine for vinyl culture

and a Huawei P9 Plus, developed in collaboration with Leica Camera.

2nd to 3rd prize

Huawei P9 Plus and a LFI annual subscription

4th to 10th prize

LFI annual subscription and vinyl prizes
